Construction on the second Vista Class cruise ship, the Carnival Horizon from Carnival Cruise Line is continuing on schedule at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, Italy. Norwegian Cruise Line has opened bookings for sailings to Cuba on the Norwegian Sun. The Norwegian Sun will homeport in Port Canaveral starting in May 2018 and will to guests looking to explore the art, culture and history that abounds in Cuba. Carnival Cruise Line Hosts Dr. Seuss Charity Event

Carnival Cruise Line hosted  a special event to celebrate their partnership with the Port of Mobile. The Seuss-a-Palooza event was for kids attending the YMCA of South Alabama Summer Camp program. The event aboard Carnival Fantasy, which is homeported year-round in Mobile, was highlighted by a Green Eggs and Ham brunch with The Cat in the Hat and Friends, a Seuss-a-Palooza Story Time and Parade and other Dr. Seuss–inspired activities that are featured on Carnival cruises. Princess Cruises Launches Redesigned Kids Programs

Princess Cruises has redesigned their kids programs onboard their cruise ships. Camp Discovery, as the new program is called, was created in a partnership with the Discovery Channel. Hakeem Oluseyi of Science Channel and Tory Belleci of Discovery Channel’s MythBusters were onboard the Grand Princess in San Francisco to celebrate Princess Cruises’ new Camp Discovery youth and teen centers, conducting an official ribbon cutting. Seventh Ship for Disney Cruise Line

Disney Fans at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California were surprised with the announcement of a seventh ship for Disney Cruise Line. Last year, Disney had already announced plans to expand their fleet with two new ships and this will bring the total to seven.
