Virgin Voyages is introducing a new, more flexible way to book a cruise. The company’s new VoyageFair Choices fare model, which launches on October 7, 2025, offers travelers more transparent pricing and more options to fit their needs.
This new system, a direct response to customer and travel advisor feedback, aims to simplify the booking process. The new model introduces three distinct pricing tiers for Sea Terrace cabins and below, each with different levels of flexibility and included perks.
Nirmal Saverimuttu, CEO of Virgin Voyages said:
“Travelers expect clarity and choice from airlines and hotels, and Virgin Voyages is the first to bring that same simplicity and pricing model to cruising,”
“This isn’t about gimmicks or fine print. We’re making it easier to book a voyage with confidence while knowing that once you’re onboard, the experience is unmistakably Virgin: elevated and unforgettable.”
VoyageFair Choices Explained
- Base: This is the most budget-friendly, non-refundable option. It includes a basic Wi-Fi tier for one device, with dining reservations opening 15 days before sailing. This fare is for travelers who are certain of their plans and want the best price.
- Essential: This option is most similar to the current booking experience. It includes standard Wi-Fi, a 45-day dining reservation window, and the flexibility to change voyage dates with a future voyage credit.
- Premium: This tier is for those who want more perks and flexibility. It includes premium Wi-Fi for two devices, a Bar Tab credit, and an earlier 60-day dining reservation window.

For guests in RockStar and Mega RockStar Quarters, the only change with VoyageFair Choices is an exciting one: you can now book your dining reservations 120 days before your sailing, giving you the earliest access to plan your meals. All your other exclusive perks—like Richard’s Rooftop, priority boarding, and dedicated RockStar Agent service—remain the same, ensuring you continue to receive the premium, luxurious experience you expect.
A New Level of Transparency
In addition to the new fare tiers, Virgin Voyages is also making service gratuities more transparent by listing them as a separate line item at the time of booking. This ensures travelers know exactly what they are paying for upfront. While the total cost of the cruise remains the same, guests can now choose to prepay the gratuities or pay onboard.
Despite these changes, the core of the Virgin Voyages experience—dubbed “Always Included Luxury”—remains the same. Every fare still includes all dining, group fitness classes, Wi-Fi, and entertainment, providing over $1,000 in value.
The new booking model will be live for all new reservations made on or after October 7, 2025. More details can be found at VirginVoyages.com
