Carnival Valor Returns to Service with Exciting Upgrades
The Carnival Valor officially re-entered service today after an extensive dry dock. This significant refurbishment brings a host of upgrades designed to enhance guest comfort and introduce exciting new features, including a thrilling WaterWorks aqua park and a dedicated Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge. The ship welcomed its first guests in Barcelona before setting sail for its New Orleans homeport on a special Carnival Journeys transatlantic voyage.
New Attractions & Enhanced Accessibility
Beyond adding new amenities, the renovation also focused on improving accessibility throughout the public areas, with upgrades ranging from enhanced pathways to improved facilities. A standout addition is the WaterWorks aqua park, which transforms the top deck into a family-friendly paradise with twin slides promising excitement for all ages.
On Deck 5, the new Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge provides a dedicated space to honor active-duty military and veterans who cruise with Carnival. This meaningful venue is now available on 16 ships across the fleet.
Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line said:
“The Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge is a heartfelt salute to the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country – and it’s fitting to have this popular venue now featured on Carnival Valor, a ship named in honor of our heroes,”
“We’re proud that more military families choose Carnival for their well-deserved vacations than any other cruise line.”
Ship-Wide Enhancements for Every Guest
Guests will discover numerous other upgrades across the ship:
- Staterooms now feature convenient USB outlets and enhanced lighting.
- The casino has been refreshed and expanded with new gaming options and an improved layout.
- The ship’s spa and gym facilities have been rebranded as a Cloud 9 Spa, offering a revitalized environment for wellness and workouts.
- A Dream Studio for personalized photo sessions has been added on Deck 3.
- Guests can easily learn about and book shore excursions at the new Carnival Adventures on Deck 5.
- Younger cruisers will enjoy refreshed spaces tailored to various age groups. This includes Camp Ocean’s new fleet-first LED feature wall for engaging programming and multi-player video gaming, along with new gaming and karaoke experiences in Circle “C” and Club 02 for older children and teens.
- General refurbishments and upgraded carpets throughout all public areas contribute to a fresh, modern atmosphere.
Once back in New Orleans, the Carnival Valor will resume its popular year-round schedule of four- and five-day Western Caribbean cruises, featuring stops in Mexican ports like Cozumel and Progreso.
